Although 3PL-run warehouses show worse outcomes on many of the NAPB metrics that they report data for, 3PL facilities often receive limited coverage at NAPB due to their relative rareness. Companies who have 3PLs then cannot get the depth of insights they need, and the companies who do not have 3PLs feel like the information is not relevant to their operations. This session will be created specifically for companies who actively use 3PLs or are strongly considering their use – others are welcome to attend, though may find limited value in the discussion. We plan for this session to largely be open, guided discussion across the group based on key learning objectives submitted by participating OEMs, rather than heavily based on benchmark data or lengthy questionnaire submissions. We will collect basic information on key 3PL management topics – metric tracking, scorecards, communication methods, etc. – to help guide the session, but will otherwise have free flowing discussion with the group.
